Breaking ground this summer, this barrier-free ADU is designed with accessibility at the forefront. Equipped with an ADA-accessible ramp, barrier-free fixtures, and a roll-in shower, this project is all about making life easier for multi-generational living and future-proofing the property for the clients to comfortable age in place.
Tucked into a leafy residential lot in North Seattle, the Wedgewood ADU is a compact yet highly intentional dwelling designed to support aging-in-place and multi-generational living. Completed in Summer 2025, this single-story accessory dwelling unit centers accessibility without compromising spatial quality or warmth. From its seamless ADA-compliant entry ramp to the thoughtfully integrated roll-in shower, every detail affirms a commitment to long-term livability and dignity. Natural light filters generously through strategically placed windows, while a restrained palette of materials keeps the interiors bright, open, and calming. More than an auxiliary structure, the Wedgewood ADU reflects a growing ethos of care in residential design future-ready, family-first, and deeply livable.
