A modern, community-centered office space that supports RVCDF’s expanding mission and reflects their deep roots in Rainier Valley of Seattle.

Located in the heart of South Seattle, the new headquarters for the Rainier Valley Community Development Fund (RVCDF) is a space rooted in mission and community. As a CDFI dedicated to supporting small businesses—especially those led by BIPOC, immigrant, and underserved entrepreneurs in Southeast Seattle—RVCDF needed an office that could serve both operational and community-facing needs. La Union Studio led the design of the 3,450 SF tenant improvement, balancing functional workspaces with a warm, accessible environment that welcomes clients and collaborators alike.
The design incorporates flexible meeting rooms, private offices, a staff breakroom, and a welcoming reception lounge, all crafted to reflect RVCDF’s values of transparency, equity, and care. Thoughtful material selections and community-oriented spatial planning ensure the office remains adaptable as the organization’s impact continues to grow. The result is a mission-driven workplace designed to empower people, nurture relationships, and deepen RVCDF’s presence in the Rainier Valley.
