Our Work

Maple Leaf Residence

A modern single-family residence in Seattle's Maple Leaf neighborhood, designed alongside a detached accessory dwelling unit to make thoughtful use of a compact urban lot.

Located in one of Seattle's established residential neighborhoods, the Maple Leaf Residence embraces the potential of small urban lots to create thoughtful density and long-term value. Designed under Washington State's recent middle housing provisions, which require cities across the state to expand zoning for denser housing types, the project treats added capacity as an opportunity rather than a constraint. An open main level pairs a chef's kitchen and waterfall stone island with a living room anchored by a linear fireplace and integrated millwork, while the upper floor holds a primary suite with its own fireplace, a dressing room, and a marble-clad bath.
