Welcome, dear friends, to another vibrant edition of our newsletter!
As we approach the end of this remarkable year, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we've embarked upon together as a community. The holiday season is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for heartfelt gratitude. We want to extend my deepest appreciation to each member of our team, our clients, and our partners for contributing to the success and growth of La Union Studio. We are thrilled to showcase our collaboration with Boon Boona Cafe at their newest location inside the University of Washington Bookstore.
La Union Studio had the privilege of partnering with Boon Boona Cafe and its owner, Efrem Fesaha, to design a new space that embraces the diverse coffee traditions of his family’s origin in East Africa. The name "Boon" and "Boona" both signify "coffee" in different languages of East Africa, and at Boon Boona, this commitment extends to sharing the unique coffee and coffee traditions of the region while supporting local coffee growers and our community in the process.
The newest Boon Boona Cafe is located at 3426 University Way, NE Seattle, WA 98105. We invite you to explore the café's captivating ambiance, a testament to the harmonious blend of design and culture.

Exciting news! La Union Studio has conquered new heights by completing the Port of Seattle Business Accelerator Program in partnership with Business Impact Northwest. The program is a comprehensive ten-week business development initiative tailored for minority-owned small businesses in South King County that provides facilitated mentorship, networking opportunities with fellow AEC businesses, and access to professional services.

La Union Studio was invited to participate on a panel discussion hosted by JP Morgan Chase to discuss regional commercial affordability programs, convened by the Pacific Northwest Community Engagement Regional Director, Ken Takahashi. As pilot stewards and recipients of the Business Community Ownership Fund (BCOF), we shared our perspectives on the value that resources like the BCOF can have on wealth building for small business owners and the importance of site control and ownership of commercial space in rapidly changing neighborhoods in Seattle.
I recommend La Union Studio all the time. They are easy to work with, it felt like a collaboration the entire time, they listen to your wants and desires and really do a great job of incorporating them as well as their own styles to make it incredible.

La Union Studio has helped us connect with people from the community that we were not in connection with before this project, which allowed more people to know Chebogz's story and legacy. They also have your back when issues rise and they do it in a way that doesn't scare the clients. They care!
Patrixia Paraiso, Owner, CheBogz Filipino Food
