We're making significant progress with our construction for Social Tea in Capitol Hill! The drywall is now in place, and we're gearing up for an exciting week ahead as we start the painting phase. Social Tea
Sam Cho, a Port of Seattle Commissioner and serial entrepreneur, is dedicated to sharing the boba culture while fostering increased civic engagement in Seattle. Through Social Tea, he aims to promote more participation in our city’s political arena!
Boon Boona
As the CEO and Founder of Boon Boona Coffee, Efrem Fesaha grew up in West Seattle with a deep passion for coffee. He aims to share not only his love for coffee but also the cultural origin story of East African coffee through Boon Boona Roastery and Café.


Black & Tan Hall has been diligently working to transform its space into a vibrant hub within the Hillman City community. La Union Studio joined as B&TH’s design partner in 2022 and supported the team to successfully navigate the final inspections of Phase 1 of the construction last month.
This past weekend, La Union Studio collaborated with Black & Tan Hall to host a community visioning session. The visioning session aimed to harness valuable insights from partner-owners and community anchors, fostering a collaborative dialogue to shape the future use of the mezzanine space. Together, La Union Studio and Black & Tan Hall invited participants to contribute their perspectives and ideas, enriching the design plans and ensuring the space aligns seamlessly with the diverse needs of their community. We are excited for Black & Tan Hall to continue expanding its programming!

The Business Community Ownership (BCO) Fund in Seattle aims to address the affordability crisis for small businesses, by securing fixed, affordable rents and empowering them with long-term ownership to combat commercial displacement.

La Union Studio attended the inaugural launch of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Design Alliance Pacific Northwest Chapter. The AAPI Alliance aims to promote representation and empower the AAPI home and design community across the country.

La Union Studio attended the 31st annual Community Voice Award ceremony hosted by the International Examiner (IE) to show support for IE as a platform that uplifts small businesses like ours. The Community Voice Awards is a fundraiser aimed at ensuring the voices of Asian Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Americans are heard and empower community.
