Our Work

Hood Famous Cafe & Bar

La Union Studio worked with clients Cherakris Amlag and Geo Quibuyen of Hood Famous Bakeshop to create a space that celebrates the resilience of FIlipino-American culture and it's influence on so many aspects of Seattle’s cultural ecosystem.

Harnessing the deeply-rooted cultural & historical permanence of Filipino heritage not just in Seattle’s historic Chinatown International District, but in the entire Puget Sound region as a whole, La Union Studio worked with clients Cherakris Amlag and Geo Quibuyen of Hood Famous Bakeshop to create a space that celebrates its influence on so many aspects of Seattle’s ecosystem. La Union Studio was inspired by the geometric patterns of the batok (traditional Filipino tattoo), specifically the Tinatalaaw, which means “day & night”, and we strived to represent the coffee-to-cocktails program with this motif throughout the space.
